Pam, I'm really sorry it didn't meet your hopes. It is a specialty store of its own kind as you now know. And when not prepared for the quarter thing, of course, that is a pain.
Yes, produce is quite basic. The frozen vegetables are even more limited. It's really a place to buy 'generic' type things cheap. The store brand items I have tried are fine for the most part. Then supplement by going to the big fancy (just kidding) regular grocery store, with the ten kinds of Triscuits.

If you like Cheezits, then Aldis version are not up to par. But sometimes I buy the Aldi ones so that I don't eat a half box at once.

Aldi= Lidi, too funny.
Plant it and they will come.
