Two years ago one of my inflos turned into a branch. I thought it would grow into a normal size branch but it never grew into a strong branch. It always had that thin smooth inflo shape to it. The top 4-5 inches kept growing longer and thicker just like any branch would but it would always be connected to that weak inflo branch. So I cut it off. Since your inflo/new branch is so long! I would just get rid of it.
