Waving HI to everyone! My name is Chris and I live in an apartment on the 3rd floor of my building, so I can't do any outside gardening
So I've been doing my thing with houseplants and right now, I have around 50 or so. My balcony looks like a jungle too
I do tend to lean towards benign neglect and then when I realize what I've done- I drown my plants!
I loved what Alan said about "I love my plants as long as I can keep them alive"
I'm right there beside you on that one, Alan!
Isn't is funny how there always seems to be certain plants that everyone else can grow like crazy, but when you try it- it dies? My nemesis is English Ivy.. I love that plant dearly, but I'm Death to it! As soon as I bring it home, I start counting the days until I have to throw it away. But I keep on trying! One of these days, I'll get that little sucker to grow for me!
I love Nephthytis- I have around 6 different varieties right now and I'm always looking for more.
One of my favorite plants is Orange Prince, which is a philodendron.. This is the prince a year ago
Anyway, I look forward to browsing in this forum and seeing what I can learn from everyone!
