Hello to all! I have just found your forum and would gladly join in! I grow mostly drought tolerant plants, though I do have some hardy tropicals, and some orchids, most of the orchids I have to grow indoors. So nice to see fellow enthusiasts!
When I was in Manila for the past 2.5 months, I saw this lovely plant growing outdoors in a part sun area. I tried to ask what it is called, and they cannot name it, I guess, just took it for granted that it is alive and thriving. So all I can do is take a photo and hope to find out its name later on.
Hope someone recongizes it! Though am pretty sure I cannot grow this one, it seems to like lots and lots of humidity, which I cannot provide because of our very dry weather. Some thinks it is Birds of Paradise, but I do not think it is...hope someone can ID it
