86°f with 65% humidity right now at 1pm but it is projected to get closer to 90°f by afternoon and the humidity will be around 73%. Not bad really, a bit muggy but it is sunny and clear for now.

We are apparently in the incubator for a tropical storm/hurricane in the next few days. There are 2 systems forming on either side of us and if/when they meet over the Gulf it could get much stronger. At any rate we are looking at a weekend of heavy rains.

Yesterday was almost a joke so many things went wrong. First one of the maids that has worked for me for 6 or 7 years showed up drunk. That was almost hysterical, she said it was her high blood pressure but I've never smelled a blood pressure pill that smells like stale beer. She's never done it before so we sent her home to 'rest' and told her once was the limit. Then we went off to the bank and to have lunch and the other maid that works a couple days for me and a couple for my friend who is in Europe calls me that there is a leak in the water line under the floor at my friend's house. It has happened before and she has had them 'fix' it but clearly they didn't get it right. I take care of her house every summer as she is an underwater archaeologist that is working summers with students on a wrectk in the Mediterranean off Sicily. We went over and turned off the water to that area so the flooding stopped but now she needs to let me know if she wants to just wait until she comes home or for me to get the workers back. Then I had a doctor's appointment and he wants to change one of my medications but I've now been to 4 pharmacies and no one carries the new one. I texted him and he said 'oh someone will have it' so today I'm going to hit the remaining chains and see. According to the PDR one place showed me they are not producing this drug anymore. I will probably have to return to the doctor and wait for an opening to get him to give me something else. Unfortunately it is an antibiotic which is one of the few types of medications that require a prescription so he can't just text me the name. That should take care of the bad stuff in my karma for at least a few days, that's what I'm hoping.
A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
