I still haven't planted my Purple Emperor it is still in it's pot in the driveway. I really love the plant and when I get home I'm hoping to cut a few starters off it and try rooting them. I had great success doing that with my variegated tall sedum. We had to run down to Fl. as my FIL went into the Hosp. we have been here 2 weeks now and will probably be here for most of next week before we can get home. I tried to get as much done before we left as I could and I had 4 big EE bulbs to plant so they ended up in the Gazebo corners for now. Looks like the PE & VGP will end up in another bed for this summer. I have been thinking alot about what to plant there I still like the PE and VGP, and thinking about putting in Nandinas for some height and winter interest. We will see what else catches my eye for those plantings. But I have decided that I want all four corner to be planted the same. Thought you might like a pic of the Gazebo area. This shot doesn't show it all "dressed up". There are screen curtains that hang down the sides, table cloth and house plants that will be placed out there.
