Sorry for the belated response. I'm brand new to this website. This plant is a caladium, C bicolor, named "Florida Clown." I've never seen it for sale in any nursery. My original was found more than 40 years ago by my sister in her yard in a very old Tampa neighborhood. I've had it in my collection ever since. It's a medium size variety, maximum 21 inch leaf blade in my experience. It will grow in full sun but won't look good. It does best in partial shade, with deep mulching, home-made compost, and liberal water. This is by far the most prolific variety in my collection. One autumn I dug up a small section where I had planted a dozen of these two years prior. I found the ones I planted, and about 70 tiny offsets, some no larger than a BB. They all sprouted in individual pots the next spring, and a few more babies popped up in the same section, from tiny tubers that I missed when I dug up the garden the previous autumn.
