I tried the Irish Spring method of deer deterrence and it seems to have helped. I have blooms on my Bright Eyes garden phlox today. I used to have a gorgeous mass of them once upon a time. Most years now they are nibbled long before they have a chance to bloom.

Have you tried putting some hot peppers like Habanero or Carolina Reaper in a spray bottle with water yet? My dad mashes a few of those hot peppers in a bottle and then adds water. He sprays this on his plants. Those peppers are sooooo hot. LOL. Glad to see you got some flowers on that Phlox!
