Have you tried saving a rotting bulb? The rot is in the middle of the bulb where the leaves form.
I've been searching the net and found a few articles but I want to know if anyone here had success and how you did it.

It is a Scilla bulb - Peruvian lily which I just purchase this spring... it had a gorgeous bloom. Hate to lose it.
