Sans can be pretty invasive here so people cut them and use them like flowers, then toss them when they start to root. I took this pic at my spa last week, they have a large bed of them and I think they are starting to jump the sidewalk.

Of course I never see some of the exotic ones you guys post, but they are often used in the lane dividers on big streets or in cutouts on the sidewalk.
