Poutine is a Quebec based food that is known as Canadian.

It's basically french fries, cheese curds and gravy. One of the things I read recently said that when people in the rest of the world think of Canadian food they think of poutine. I don't think that is true, not for me anyway. I think of maple syrup and maple cured bacon way before I'd think of Poutine.
Tim Horton's is a food chain across Canada started by one of the most famous Canadian hockey players ever, kind of the Roger Staubach or Joe Montana of ice hockey. I'm sure he has sold it by now but they are everywhere in Canada and are famous for their coffee. I think it tastes kind of like McDonald's coffee but... I'm not Canadian. They seem to be going international now, there are said to be quite a few Timmy's in the US mostly in the northeast.
