Well thrips suck the juices out of buds causing them to brown and shrivel quickly. Not borers to my knowledge.
Perhaps some type of nematode?
Anyone else have any ideas?
Orchid lecturer, teacher and judge. Retired Wildlife Biologist. Supervisor of a nature preserve up until I retired.
