Charleen I have a mimosa in my front yard. It only took me 6 years to get it to look like a tree. It was in a gallon pot when I bought it. Every spring when it would start coming out of dormancy the deer would eat it back to the tiny little trunk. They must be very tough little trees. It is now about 10/12 feet tall and the deer don't eat it anymore. Thumbs up
