Jim yours are way ahead of mine! They just started blooming a couple of weeks ago. I'm hoping they get nice & big like yours!

Karen, how rainy is your area? I've had these for a few years & I've only had an issue this year due to all the rain. I'd try the lilies if your summers are typically on the dry side. We have a 4" surplus of rain for the year which is highly unusual for us.

My Lilium regale don't seem to be bothered at all. I haven't gotten a single flower though in 2 years due to squirrels! You might try those. They bloom in the late Spring but smell lovely too.
