There is no need for the peat (or anything else) when you wrap them in saran. I just store them in cardboard boxes on the concrete floor of my studio. (which is the coldest place I have to put them.) In your climate the garage might be fine as long as it doesnt freeze.(and mice cant get them)
I use cinnamon instead of sulphur - its an anti-fungal, and is much more pleasant to use. Buy the cheapest you can find (dollar store?)
