I planted this plant back on June 18, 2014 so it is over three years old now. The past two years the plant has not been an outstanding performer. But this year it has really improved. It started blooming on May 14 this year, and has blooms most of the days since then. This morning one bloom was starting to open on a new rebloom scape and there were two more scapes with buds getting ready to bloom in a few days. 'Scatterbrain' always produces large beautiful blooms, the scapes averaged 38 inches tall and 10 buds per scape. I removed 15 dead scapes from the plant this morning. The plant had a lot of dead leaves so I pulled them along with the dead scapes, the plant seems to be like a lot of my other plants and the foliage experiences dieback at this time of year making the clump look a little bare.
The one bloom on the plant was only halfway open this morning so these photos are from earlier in the year.

This is what the clump looked like this morning, you can see how much smaller the clump looks with the foliage thinned out.
