Good morning. Currently 72F with a 66F dew point and mostly sunny skies. Slight breeze coming out of the SW. Going to be humid today but not as hot as predicted - maybe 84F. Supposed to get down to 57F Friday night. Love it. If we get rain tomorrow, it may be hit or miss.
Sally - thanks for input on the brine for canning. The ratio is 3 cups of vinegar to 1 cup of water with 1/4 cup of salt. I'd like to reduce the salt level by maybe a third if possible. DH wants to try beer jelly this weekend.
Gene - cool story about the engines. DH tells stories of the steel mills where everything is huge.
