It's pretty common for there to be a lot of male flowers before the female ones really get going... One of the varieties of cucumbers that i'm growing this year is doing the same thing, I've only just recently found a couple of tiny cukes, but there are a LOT of the male flowers. Once it starts, things seem to happen fast ("things" being cucumbers growing and being harvested Smiling )
