I had very good luck with refrigerator cold stratificaion on my asclepius tuberosa this summer. Lots of seedlings. Used a good quality potting mix that didn't have a lot of bark, more peat and I think vermiculite, used rain water, sprinkled seeds on top, and put lid on (chinese food tray). No ventilation.
