I only grow cherry type tomatoes as my season is short but (biggest reason), I LOVE cherry tomatoes of different colors in my summer salads. I admit that making a fresh tomato sandwich is a little tougher but I can manage (lots of mayo to hold them onto the bread).

This year, my tomato tries were:

1. My old standby, Sun Sugar. That one NEVER lets me down and is always one of the choices.
2. Artisan Bumble Bee Pink. The minute it got hot, this one stopped setting tomatoes. Also, it was a little bigger than anticipated - I had to cut them in half.
3. Artisan Chocolate Sprinkles. My new all time favorite. It was yummyumpshish and kept on going throught the heat.
4. Artisan Tiger Green. A MAJOR disappointment. I thought "perfect: orange, pink, green/red, green/yellow." Green/Yellow was a flop! It started out promising and was very tasty but, the minute the hot weather came, the fruits started splitting. Not when they got ripe but the minute they formed.
..

I tried the Artisan Tiger green last season and hated the taste. Called it a spitter!! (as it tastes so bad you spit it out). And it split really badly here also. Mostly the tomatoes stayed on the vine rotting cause I didn't pick them and I pulled my plant out early.

Have you tried Artisan Purple Bumblebee? Simply stunning and it never splits for me.

I agree Chocolate Sprinkles is a good one.

Of course Sunsugar and Sungold are excellent!!

Sunsugar

My favorite grape tomato is one from Wild Boar Farms called Candy Sweet Icicle. The flavor is complex, sweet and then with a kick of acidity, it just tastes so good.

And another I think you could grow successfully is a yellow tomato called Golden Rave., It is mini Roma Shaped and very productive. Tastes great!!
