Yes, it sends all the ingredients. They have ice packs in the box, meat is fresh and vacuum-sealed.
This is what they sent for the turkey burgers
20 oz. ground turkey
1 cup mozzarella cheese
a little packet of spice blend
2 slices of white bread
10 oz. fresh spinach
milk (they sent an 8 oz. container)
4 cloves garlic
Thinly slice garlic. Heat a drizzle of EVOO in a pan, add garlic, cook till fragrant, add spinach and toss till wilted. Season with salt and pepper. Remove spinach from pan and place on cutting board (a big bowl works too). Finely chop, transfer to large bowl. Add bread and 2 T. milk (I used the rest to make the mashed potatoes). Squish everything together until bread turns pasty. Add cheese, turkey, meatloaf spice, salt and pepper. Thoroughly combine with hands, form into 4-1 inch thick meatloaves. Bake in 450 oven on a lightly oiled sheet (I put down foil) until no longer pink in center; about 15 minutes. When they are done, turn on broiler to "high", broil till brown on top, about 4 minutes.
Ok, that is THEIR directions............this is how I did it today. First off, 4 cloves of garlic is waaaaay too much for me, so I just put a little garlic powder in the mix. I used 1 cup of panko crumbs and a 3 pound tube of ground turkey. (when I did it "their" way the first time, I put the bread in a warm oven to dry out and made crumbs. Squishy bread makes me gag). I forgot it had cheese in it, but I did have some sharp cheddar on hand, so I shredded some and tossed it in. It was 3 ounces. This made 10 little loaves. Don't know what was in their little packet of meatloaf seasoning, but I don't think it made much difference.............those 4 cloves of garlic overpowered EVERYTHING.
At least I didn't have to watch for vampires for the rest of the day.
