We are Texans helping Texans and am proud to say that. Proud of my City, Proud of the hard work they have done so far. I know we wll come out of this. I encouraged my young adult DD to volunteer. I told her to find something and we would volunteer for together. Here was the conversation:
She told me we were making Sunday breakfast for the police officers.
"Let's make pancakes", she said. Then she told me it was for 60 police officers. I said,
"Cool! How many pancakes do we to make?".
"60 servings".
"No, I mean how many do we cook for, certainly not the entire meal?"
"Yeah, mom. 60 cops"
"What's everyone else doing? "
"We're the only ones"
(WTF?!)
"You signed up to do the whole entire breakfast?! That's not how this works!"
"You're not in charge. No one is as organized as you!"
OMG! 250 pancakes, butter, syrup, sausage and orange juice for 60 hungry men. IDK whether to be excited or afraid! Rolling on the floor laughing We're going to Sam's in the morning.
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love Truly, Laugh
uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you Smile.
