I'd probably be ok with the pretty weeds if they weren't on my state's list of noxious invasive plants for good reason. I found out the hard way.
Pretty faces, but no manners. Now if I see something I'm not sure about I run to the noxious weed website first thing!
I'm making my own planner since I couldn't really find exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to use my computer's calendar app to put in planting/sowing dates for everything on my list, then print that out. My husband heard me wishing for an aerial photo of my garden and took that as me saying "I totally think you should buy a drone". But at least now I have a great overhead picture. I'm going to modify it and make it into a line drawing and outline and identity my perennials, then draw in where I plant or sow stuff... And add pictures of the stuff as seedlings so I can get rid of anything that isn't what I planted!
Basically this season there was only ONE mystery plant that turned out to not be something that wanted to sabotage all my little beloveds. (Twinspur! Both colors! No idea how they got there but they're perfect right where they landed. Lucky me!) So, next year I'm gonna be a little more ruthless.
Edit: Check it out, one of the pictures of my yard from above! :D
