Actually, I've seen pretty good news media coverage on Harvey...many, many stories on "Mattress Mack", on ordinary people rescuing and helping people without any thought to their own safety or needs, on all the people volunteering, organizations and countries coming to aid the people in Texas, and I'm sure all Texans are grateful for every bit of help given. I'm not sure what news stories people might be reading or watching, but if you try, I think you can always find some fairly balanced coverage of anything that is going on. I've kept in touch with many relatives in different Harvey-affected parts of Texas. All fairly okay and none lost their homes or lives, thank God. Some went through fear and anxiety, some evacuated or stayed with friends or had other evacuees staying with them. Harvey was the worst disaster Texas has seen in a long time, so of course, if a person wanted to believe it wasn't horrible and people aren't suffering and losing homes and in some cases lives, I guess you'd have to avoid any mention of it. Sorry, but I feel a lot of empathy for the victims of this, so I get emotional. Sometimes I even feel a bit guilty because my own area of Texas didn't experience any weather problems...and I know that's silly, of course.
