The Historic Iris Preservation Society has a relatively new feature that has photos of every portion of the plant.

click on Gallery
click on ID_Composites A new aid for identification

I was able to identify a very common NOID in my town. (Crimson King).
I am now attempting to id several others.
It's a great tool but will also show you how much similar iris differ.

Happy Hunting!!
