Awesome! Then I'll start figuring out how to corral the seeds. Usually I like to go the 'tie a little baggie' route but the flower stalk is far too slender and fragile for that. Maybe I'll make a little cone of shame for it. Rolling on the floor laughing

It does a really good job of catching fungus gnats! So does my other little guy, the pinguicula.

The violet LOOKS ok-ish in the picture I guess, but almost all its leaves have gotten mushy or floppy and many have fallen off. I had an issue with an aphid infestation (someone brought me a petunia and it was during a party and I wasn't thinking so I put it on the rack and of COURSE it had aphids) and one thing led to another and short story long it's getting worse over time, not better. I'm making sure not to overwater it and just trying to leave it alone and hope for the best, but the prognosis isn't good. *Blush*

At least I have finally gotten rid of all my indoor aphids. RIP strawberry plants.

In other news, last night I decided to try again on pollinating the bomarea distichifolia and this time try something new to see if I get more success. Sooooo, I got out my Sonicare toothbrush and held it against my tiny paintbrush. In the middle of doing that, my husband came in earlier than I expected and the second he stepped in the room I yelled, "DON'T EVEN SAY A WORD!" He's always amused by the random things he finds me doing to my plants, but I've never looked like I've been trying to brush their teeth before.

...I was just glad I went with the electric toothbrush and not the other object I had been considering.

It'll be all worth it, though, if it worked!
