I bought a flat of purple mums from Lowes but I went to a nursery a couple towns away that I've been waiting to go to (thinking Fall planting rules and all
) and bought about 8 other perennials.
I just found out that Lowes is supposed to have phased out neonicotinoids and the manager at a Lowes about a 1/2 hour away is very knowledgeable and was quite familiar with which-local-nurseries-use-what, so that's why I grabbed the mums there. I didn't know they had specialty cultivars, though!! I will have to go back and check it out. Thanks, darlin'
DFH is freaked out because of the
large number of plants that need to go into the ground. I think I might just surprise him....
