Purely my personal opinion, but biying seed is for those gardeners who actually want to grow specific plants. Not for people like me, who look at plants and go "ooh pretty, let's try that!" Every now and then I'll buy seeds, either because the price is awesome (Dollar General clearance rack for 2 cents) or because I want that specific plant. Otherwise, I'm just as happy growing whatever I get.
