Welcome, Karen. You are correct that it isn't easy to find a seed swap. This is my first time as well. Any viable seeds are fine. Unless someone gathered seeds from the forest (and some do) then at some point all of our seeds were commercial. All my seeds are from plants grown from commercial seeds. Once you get growing, many plants will produce more seeds than you could ever use yourself. On the trade list you'll see bought, traded and self, so all three options are just fine.
