I think you're missing the whole point of the discussion. We all know what a landscape photo is, we are gardeners, and we don't need any schooling. We're trying to make a decision.
The feature was originally called "Multi-Plant Images" and was supposed to consist of photos showing a variety of plants growing in the same flower bed, container, or other location. Each plant was to be identified and linked to its entry in the database, so that gardeners could see how well the plant in question grew in harmony with various assortments of other plants.
The name of the feature was then changed to "Landscape photos," which led to predictable misconceptions. People posted photos of sunsets, autumn foliage, water features, or actual landscapes, but usually without identifying any of the plants. We are now looking for a name that will preclude these errors.
As for your comment about "ridiculous pics," I have to assume you're talking about the images next to our names because no one has posted any photos in this thread. Those images are our personal avatars and were never meant to represent "landscapes."
