That particular plant plans on surviving! I'll guess again then...144. This is the first time I ever collected seeds from hibiscus and I was so surprised to find so many chambers in the pod. I got my first plant 4 years ago from someone who appreciated my attraction to its beauty and did not have too many locations for its size. I was not sure how it would grow where I placed it since it was not sunny in that spot all day, just part of the day. Well, how exciting that it has returned each year, however, that one did not grow seed pods. It is a pink star in the backyard at the end of the summer when only the rudebekia dapple parts of the landscape.
