Just purchased the planner PDF and have ordered the notebook components; mostly I'm excited because I had never heard of a "discbound notebook system" before -- thank you so much, Abigail, Trish and Dave, because this is what I've wished for, for a long time! For years I have kept my garden journal in a spiral-bound notebook -- all the time wishing I could add pages at the beginning or other places. I print quite a few things out from the computer -- my yearly veg garden plan, created in Printmaster; my seed orders, a companion planting chart, my seed inventory list, etc etc.

One thing I'd really love to see in the future is a monthly (or yearly) calendar showing the moon phases; I'm just experimenting with "planting by the moon" at this point, but that would really be helpful to me. Another would be a chart for phenology-type observations, such as when the apple trees are blooming, the first hummingbird sighting, etc.

Other things I'll be likely to add to my planner (these may or may not be of any use as far as something to consider adding to the package) are my master plant list of varieties that I've grown over the years, garden wish list, project ideas, amounts that I freeze and can, some graph paper pages for sketching ideas for planting beds and other projects.

Thanks so much for introducing me to the idea of using the "discbound" notebook, and for providing some basic templates! Thumbs up
