My daughter grows this one at her garden located about 20 minutes away from me. I remember when I saw the first bloom, my reaction was, 'I love that'. It bloomed for her the same season that it was purchased by mail order. I don't remember it being particularly short. I commented last summer on how pretty I thought it was, and luckily for me, it has clumped up enough in 2 years for her to offer me a piece. My daughter's garden soil is a heavier clay, which holds moisture, whereas mine is sandy and dry, so we will see how this cultivar performs in my garden.
