Thanks zuzu; I'd never seen a squirrel eat a mushroom before! With my eyesight as bad as it is, I couldn't figure out what it was he had so I zoomed in as far as I could and when I downloaded the picture to my laptop, I saw it was a mushroom! He sat in that tree and ate the entire cap and then as I walked closer to the tree, he ran farther up clutching the mushroom stem so I'm assuming he ate it too.
