Darius was one of my first daylilies purchased shortly after we built our current home. It was planted in my first perennial bed along the south side of our house. It thrived there, being divided and maintained for almost 25 years. It is obviously rock solid hardy for anything our cold winters can throw at it. It also bloomed every year without fail. It is sunfast, and a good bloomer with lots of bloom and as alilyfan mentioned above, it blooms for a long time. I recently revamped my long south border, and moved Darius to a slightly shady location. It never missed a beat.

So, to sum up, Darius is not a fancy bloom, but a pretty one that is hardy, and a reliable, long bloomer. It never has a splotchy bloom, and as a bonus, the foliage always looks great, so in my books a good all round garden plant and a nice addition to a mixed perennial border.
