Philip, that's the point of wintersowing: you sow the seeds in covered, vented containers, put them out in the cold, and in the spring they germinate when conditions are right.

I won't be wintersowing this year. I've done it for so many years, I've no space left to plant! Not to mention, I have way to much to maintain now. But I always think about it on the solstice.
