actually, tx_flower_child. I rarely feed it. every once in a while, and not during the blooming season, I will put the used coffee grounds (which would be nitrogen) on the top of the soil and lightly mix it in. I also let them dry out thoroughly between watering. I have found that I have better luck not fertilizing the cactus.
