Triptychs are great if you have a large enough wall for them. Of couse they could be done on a small scale too. I hope you find a place for the one your sister painted, you know I love the mountains and I'd love to see a picture.

The last triptych I did was 6' x 4', with each panel being 4' x 2'. It was fun to do, but seemed to take such a chunk of time. It was a commissioned piece, and I'm not always fond of commissioned pieces if I'm being told what to paint. It's much more fun to just match colors and paint what I want to, which is what I'm doing with the painting above.

The one above is about 3' x 4', so it's pretty big as well.
I'm enjoying painting it though, because the lakes are all around me and this is a scene I see all the time.
