A marvelous cultivar here, but it is a bit short of registered height and, yes, there are some blooms that hang up (almost inevitable with such a lavishly ruffled flower). But not 30% here. Bud count is quite good for a more recent Stamile (around 11)--certainly could be higher in a warmer clime or in virgin soil. Rebloomed one year (out of several). Has been quite consistent despite the vicissitudes of climate change weather. Here are pics from last two years. In the one group pic, you can see what it does when it doesn't open well.
