Happy New Year, everyone.

After several years of no perennial WS, I sowed 2 containers yesterday.
One is for Rudbeckia fulgida to replace the plant I killed last year.
This Rudbeckia is daintier than its hybridized child, Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm'.

Another container is for perennial Geranium whose species I don't recall. It is a very small geranium with small leaves and small flowers. What I like most about this little one is that it blooms when other geraniums in my garden take a rest.

Garden hoops update: I did not place a second layer of cover over the hoops before going away. After two months, I found the ground under the hoop completely dry and the kale and Chinese broccoli lying flat on the ground. The lettuce is completely frozen.

I wonder how I can keep the ground moist to keep the vegetables going. Anybody has any suggestions?
