If someone gives me flowers, then I'm very happy to have them in the house. However cut my own precious blooms and deny them part of their life and the ability to set seed and regenerate? Never!

The joy of a garden is too much to wreck it cutting it and bringing indoors, I go outside and enjoy it in its proper place or admire it through my windows. If the wind breaks my gladioli or iris then they come indoors to help them last as long as possible, but it is never as long as they would have lived outside where they cheer me up every time i glance out of a window or walk out of a door.
