Same experience here... I have a small clump in front... light, sweet fragrance, but not "attar of roses." Then again, roses have a variety of scents (with most of them seeming to have no scent, especially the hybrid teas), and there's probably one that smells like this daffodil! LOL

A lot of the double daffs have nice fragrance ('Tahiti', for one, also 'Cheerfulness'). Jonquilla, Poeticus, Triandrous and Tazetta daffs mostly seem to have strong scents also. I'm not certain, but it seems to me that the large-cup daffs are nearly always fragrant. On the other hand, I can't think of a fragrant trumpet variety.

I'll have to pay attention this spring and see which of them I'd call "very fragrant" as opposed to "fragrant." I like hte lighter-scented ones, as the fragrance doesn't get overwhelming when you have a big mixed bouquet.
