I found out by accident that mosquitos do not like Tigerbalm. When I used to visit my parents in Indonesia, the mosquitos really loved me. My parents didn't have any problems at all, but I looked like my skin was full with polka dots, tan and medium pink. The only thing that helped stop the itching was Tigerbalm, so I put Tigerbalm where all those dots were, and they not only quit itching, but the mosquitos also stayed away. Back to the US, when I have to tend my yards, I put Tigerbalm on my wrists, my ankles, around my face, my ears, my neck, avoid the temples near my eyes, and I wear long pants and socks, and long sleeved shirts that were treated anti bugs--and it is wonderful---the bugs leave me alone, even the gnats leave me alone, no buzzing --- I buy big cans (1.7 oz (50 g) of Tigerbalm (Ultra strength) from Amazon. They are also available from Costco, but I am not a member. I told friends in Many, Louisiana, who have a big garden, and they told me that the Tigerbalm also helped them not being eaten by mosquitos and other bugs---

The pants and shirts are labeled "insect shield" or "buzz off" or "insect blocker" made by EX OFFICIO. They are not cheap, but they go on sale occasionally.

Someone told me that Skin-so-soft sunscreen + bug guard by Avon also helps, with but I have not tried it.

I hope this helps.
