My carrots were grown in a container. I make my own soil mix. I run it all through a sifter with 1/8" hardware cloth
1.5 GALLONS peat moss
½ GALLONS perlite
½ GALLON COW MANURE compost
½ GALLON MUSHROOM compost
1 cup bone meal
½ cup agricultural lime
