Hints of springs eventual arrival around here the last couple of days. The sun has been shining (a fabulous boost to our energy and spirits) and my DH has been home for several weeks. We have all been feeling more than a little cooped up this year with the new (one hundred year old!) small farmhouse we moved into to be closer to our grandchildren. We haven't had to worry about fresh air though as apparently the drafts are keeping us well ventilated this year. Rolling my eyes. I enjoyed reading this thread. The reminder of all the ways large and small we accommodate the difficulties of northern winters and the kindness that follows our understanding. I always feel the gifts of nurturing through another winter as one of the greatest blessings of spring.
