I have had both my knees replaced--"ages" ago. ( 2004 and 2007).
Main thing in recovery is to think of it as mind over matter. Just DO IT!!

In my 4-level split house there are so many steps I had to deal with I just thought about it as additional PT. No one else lives here--but me.
Lots of "workouts"...

The worst thing is that after Knee replacements is that you are NOT allowed to get down on your knees. NEVER!! That sure put a glitch in my gardening when I had mine done. I learned to stoop down and sit on little stools a lot.
To this day--I cannot kneel... You just have to get used to it.....
YES! kneeling and gardening is very hard to live with.

IDO wish you a speedily recovery, Rick! Practice saying---"It is all mind over matter. (My motto in life). If I don't mind--it does not matter.

Best to you!! Gita.
