Was a very long, cold, snowy winter up till two weeks ago, when we actually started to see some snowdrops. We don't usually see the first until mid March. Have had a nice warm spell for most of the time since then; quite a melt and the garden's now almost all snow- and ice-free at the surface. Today back to the cold, though just a sprinkling of snow. Have to admit we didn't suffer the whole cold time; especially loved Martinique.
Pictures yesterday.
Particularly hellebores and primulas noticeable.
Seeming buds on this 'Merlin'.
Like to think it'll be an early spring, but don't think that's predicted.
Still happy with the evidence of good things to come!
