That spot should work well! at edge of protected leaf canopy...

I planted it in a 3rd local that i didn't photo cuz nothing left (fern pot; the north facing bleeding heart bed; & wide-open but shaded under a dogwood thats shaded under a European Hornbeam-all 3 locations within 20 ft of each other in backyard).

Spots 1 & 2 ( fern n bleeding heart) are shaded AND COZY PROTECTED, n with consistant moisture.
Spot number 3 is same amount of shaded, but technically in the open, and inconsistant moisture.

Scientific Experiement with a sample size of n+2=WAY LEGIT! Rolling on the floor laughing
