Thanks for the kind comments! And TY for the acorn, Greg! Ham, I thought I was repurposing an kid's insect observation thingie as a planter (1st pic) but my husband informed me it was his, for keeping crickets, for fishing bait. Oops. The 2nd "planter" is a desk or locker accessory... I think. I found it in a used store for $3.
