Evan I've been too lazy to dig up my Mamouth EE's, Canna 'Pretoria' and 'Tropicanna' in the past and had no survivors. They will be dug up and overwintered for sure now. I overwinter in the basement and it's not a walk out so I've decided only easy to carry to the basement plants are going to get another chance. I tried to overwinter and forcing bulbs in the garage one year but my DH informed me he helped me out by throwing away all those pots of dirt that were in the garage. Grumbling Yikes!!! Learned I can't survive summer without Tropicanna. Sometimes the tall red run of the mill cannas have come back when planted close to the house but I have more shade now from surrounding plants. Over the next 15 days I need to prepare a new bed and cut out a lot of landscape fabric.
Inca Sun still going strong.
